This is the page where i will record the books that i read and trying to put in my mind….

Book 1 : Terror in the Name of God, Why Religious Militants Kill by Jessica Stern

I’m not interested in Terrorists. Who is? But when I eyed and read the title of the book, “Terror in the Name of God, Why Religious Militants Kill, my curiosity gone wild. Why not read it? I bought this book from a second hand bookstore. I thought that understanding the main roots of why terrorist terrorize religions and killed civilians would be a valid reason not to judge them by their guns and bullets.

Jessica explained that Religious terrorism arises when:

  • suffering from pain and loss
  • impatience with God
  • vulgarism from outside world
  • humiliation and treat
  • doubt and confusions
  • and finding purpose

I’m not done reading yet. I keep on reading it while boarding the train in going to work. What I understood that schizophrenia patients are not only the people in the world who suffer from delusions  of  grandeur, terrorists also manifest the same kind of symptom. They come to believe that their actions are of intense interest to everyone, especially their enemies. These characteristics, together with profound suspicion of the government and premonitions of doom, are symptoms of what psychiatrist Jerry Post calls “politicized paranoia”, which often leads activist organization to turn violent. (According to Jessica)
